Dr. E. Venkata Rao is a distinguished public health expert and academic with over 21 years of experience in Community Medicine and 32 years
in the medical and public health sector across India and the Maldives. A prolific researcher, he has 100+ publications, including
51 PubMed-indexed and 59 Scopus-indexed papers, with a H-index of 16 and i10-index of 23. Currently a Professor at the Institute of Medical
Sciences & SUM Hospital, his expertise spans epidemiology, biostatistics, vaccine research, and public health program management.
He has been a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in major clinical trials, contributing to the development of vaccines for COVID-19,
dengue, chikungunya, polio, and meningococcal diseases. With experience in teaching, policy evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration,
Dr. Rao is a recognized leader in medical education, health advocacy, and applied research, shaping the future of public health through
his extensive work in disease control strategies and health system strengthening.
